Light energy chain for large project: AMORAS

AMORAS is a sludge drainage plant according to newest ecological findings. Pumps are guided through the basin of the sludge treatment plant via a bridge. An energy chain from igus is used to move the pump hoses on the bridge so that the pumps can reach every area of the four 120,000m3 basins. For the realisation of the project, the operator worked closely with igus from planning to implementation.

Sewage treatment without downtime in the Plauen sewage plant

The basic flizz system reliably guides cables along the side of the primary clarifier over a distance of 53 metres. The energy chain in the housing is suitable for long travels and ensures a long service life of the cables. They are guided with a defined bend radius and the energy chain absorbs developing tensile forces. That way, cable-related downtime is avoided.

Safe energy supply at the secondary clarifier

At the Duisburg-Kasslerfeld wastewater treatment plant, a basic flizz system incl. telescopic moving arm for trouble-free operation of the longitudinal scraper on the secondary clarifier - even at very low or high temperatures. The enclosed energy chain guides the cable safely over a distance of 65 metres. Various systems had previously been tried, including cable drums, which led to a twisting movement of the cables and increased wear.
